Quantum Horses

Quantum Horses blends classic horse racing excitement with the mind-bending rules of quantum physics.
Place your bets, then watch as four colourful horses disappear into a state of superposition. Their speeds are no longer fixed numbers but probability ranges governed by the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.
Armed with two quantum buttons—Position and Measure—you can briefly reveal the horses or collapse their speed ranges into new values. Every observation reshapes the race, proving that in the quantum world the act of looking changes reality.
Whether you aim to grow your virtual bankroll or simply explore quantum weirdness, Quantum Horses turns abstract theory into an addictive, fast-paced spectacle. Ready to ride the wave of uncertainty?
At the heart of Quantum Horses lies the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle: certain properties (like position and momentum) cannot both be known precisely. We translate this into a racing context by letting every horse move at a range of possible speeds instead of one fixed value.

Observing quantum systems—whether electrons or racing horses— is never passive. By playing you build intuition for why quantum computers must carefully time their measurements and why uncertainty is an opportunity as much as a limitation.

Start Race | Begin with chosen bet, horse and laps |
Position (3 s cooldown) | Reveal horses for 0.85 s and re-sample their speeds |
Measure (5 s cooldown) | Collapse all speed ranges into new random ones |
Form Fields
Field | Description |
Bet Amount (€) | Any whole number up to your balance |
Bet on horse | Select White, Blue, Green or Brown |
Number of laps | Race length (1+) |
End the race with your selected horse in 1st place to earn the amount you wagered; otherwise you lose it. Balance reaches €0? It resets to €500 so you can keep experimenting.
